I know it's pretty long but anyone?

Anyone? Please?

I think you have a decent chance and you have the schools in their right areas. Write great essays and you should be just fine.

impressive referee-ism.

Unfortunately, ECs come second when it comes to applications. (Or so I've heard from a lot of people/college admissions people.) It's the grades that count first. If you're on the fence number-wise, then they look at ECs.

Your ECs are unbelievable. They're awesome, and if you're on that line for any of your schools, I would be very very surprised if they denied you. If you don't make that bar though, then, ECs won't cut it.

UW GPA is a bit low; SATs are decent, it's a good thing you're retaking it.

Cornell (ED) - Reach (This is a tough call, ED helps)
UVA - Low Reach (Possibly In)
Georgetown - Low Reach (Ditto)
BC - Low Reach (Ditto)

'nova - Match/High Safety(?) (Most likely, in)
Bentley - Match

UConn - Def In (Legacy helps)
PennState - In

Are you sure you're not violating anything by applying ED to Cornell and EA to the other schools?

http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/what-my-chances/566096-typical-thread-forum.html#post1060992513

I dont believe I'm violating anything with my ea's. My only binding ed school is cornell, the rest don't specifically prohibit ea with ed as gtown and bc specifically do. Also thanks to everyone for the responses!

Cornell- without ED, probably not but ED acceptance rate hovers near 40% so u have a shot
UVA- good shot
Georgetown- no
BC- no

Nova- yes
Bentley- yes
UConn- yes
PennState- yes

chance me please

http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/what-my-chances/566032-chance-me-please.html

Personally I think your course load is a BIG weakness and then your GPA. However your ECs are very unusual which is good.

Reaches:
Cornell(ED) -- reach w/ ED high reach w/o
UVA - reach
Georgetown - high reach
BC - reach

Matches:
Villanova(EA) - high match
Bentley -??

Safeties:
UConn(EA-legacy) -- in
Penn State(EA) -- in assuming your instate

thanks for the replies!

i think for your safeties and matches, you're pretty much set. but your test scores are a little on the low side for your reaches, though you do have a shot at BC. :) good luck

chance me back!

http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/new-york-university/565214-chance-stern-ed-por-favor.html

Write a great essay about your obvious passion for Refereeing! I honestly think you have a really decent shot at all schools based on your tremondous EC's...decent SAT's and i think the EC's will make up for the lower GPA.
Good Luck Young Republican! :)
chance me back.....Thanks!

http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/what-my-chances/565864-chance-valedictorian.html

Your stats are probably better than those of a guy who got into Amherst this year. He was a good football player. So I wouldn't be surprised if you got in to a number of your schools.

Your transcript looks very similar to mine statwise, and I am looking at similar schools, so:
Reaches:
Cornell(ED) - medium reach
UVA - medium reach
Georgetown - medium/high reach (they are kind of tough on gpa I hear)
BC - Low/medium reach

Matches:
Villanova(EA) - match
Bentley - match

Safeties:
UConn(EA-legacy) - Easy safety
Penn State(EA) - Easy safety

My somewhat similar thread is http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/what-my-chances/567010-chance-desperate-lost-hope-senior.html

wow! those refereeing accomplishments are amazing!!
That should be of great help in your apps.

I believe your SAT is pretty good as well (it's not GREAT, but its definitely GOOD). I know its hard to believe me when everyone on this site seems to have a 2800 (lol), but anything 2000+ is a good score. Now, just try to push that even higher.

I'll say:

Cornell: mid reach but not a bad shot at all
UVA: med reach
Gtown: reach
BC: high match
Villanova: match
Bentley: match
Uconn, Penn State: Safety

hope all goes well!!

could you chance me too?
http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/what-my-chances/566035-dream-big-go-home.html

cornell-15%
UVA-20%
Georgetown-25%
BC-35%
Villanova-65%
Bentley-60%
UConn-75%
Penn State-75%
good luck!
could you chance me in return?
http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/what-my-chances/560045-chance-me-please-thx.html

Refereeing will definitely make you very unique. But as one guy said, stats come first. Do what you can to bring them up.

Although I've looked and the Cornell site doesn't explicitly state you can't do EA under other schools, I'd still double-double check this because it seems odd that you can do EA+ED to multiple institutions. Also look on the Common App to see if they say anything about this. But if you can, props to you!

And your refereeing will definitely be a plus. Listening to the people I've spoken to, colleges like dedication and enthusiasm.

Cornell: reach, but doable with ED and higher SAT's
UVA: low reach
Gtown: reach
BC: probably match
Villanova: match
Bentley: match
UConn: high match
Penn State: match

change me, please?
http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/what-my-chances/567157-chances-international-competition-winner.html

You have a pretty good chance of getting into at least one of your reaches. Are you sure you like Cornell best?

No need to chance me back, I'm a parent!

daaaang your ec's are unbelievable >.<
it like went on forever. good job.
heres what i think..

cornell - reach
georgetown - low reach
uva - low reach
bc - low reach
BC - low reach
bentley - match
nova - match
uconn - safety
pennstate - safety

chance me? :]
