Chance a hard working transfer student.

Hey guy's, I'm finishing up my fall semester at local CC and just wanted some input on my chances for admission to some schools, if you could help me out that would be great.

Credit hours: 33 after I finish this semester.

GPA/ect: Will be around a 3.45 after this semester. I also have all of the required pre-reqs. for transfer finished.

EC's: Member of Student Leadership Council, Investment Club, I help out once a week at a local elementary school with coordinating clubs/other activities with the kids, help out at a homeless shelter at a local church for 2 hours every Friday, help write book reviews/organize publications for my churches weekly newsletter, have been working with my church in helping to re-vitalize it's once dormant library, and will most likely be doing a small internship at Claymore Securities during the summer.

Other info: I'm not really sure if this is applicable at all, but in HS I won numerous scholastic art award gold medals for photography and had my portfolio sent to New York for the national competition. Furthermore, I have a learning disability that has hindered my ability to learn as quickly, but I still strive for my best and work extremely hard during the week. I plan on addressing how I've learned to work with/overcome my LD in my essay.

So, the schools I really would like to transfer to include: The University of Illinois, Minnesota, Iowa, Indiana University, and Ohio State.

Also, for each of these schools I would be applying as a Communications major.

Do I have a realistic shot at any of these schools? Any input would be really nice, thanks for your time!

Forgot to mention that I live in Illinois. Anyone have any thoughts?

I would say you have atleast fifty fifty at all. My mom went to um and loved it. Twin cities are a great area.

Thanks for the input, anyone else?
