Chance a High School senior for PetE!

<edit>:
Pardon the double post, this is also in another thread.</edit>

I just want to say that I HATE asking these things because it makes me feel like I'm just listing off everything good I do and I feel like quite the braggart. Pardon the excessive nature of this post, and please, just give me your honest opinion! Thanks! Oh- and if it helps, I also enjoy pina coladas and getting caught in the rain.

Bump bump bump

My son got in OOS to Biomedical Engineering, and his ECs weren’t as strong as yours. I don’t know about ACT scores, though, since he took the SAT. He got a 2220 on the SAT. He was a strong distance runner and an Eagle Scout.

Good luck!

What program are you applying for?

Petroleum Engineering. I already got accepted into the PetE program at A&M and Tech.

bump bump bump bumpity bump

amazing app, they would be crazy not to take you

but putting stuff like

seems a little ridiculous

^^ LOL! If the OP put that in his app, that’d be forwarded around the admissions office like crazy.

pcuzican’s community service:

–One time my dog accidentally kicked his treat that I gave him underneath the table and he couldn’t reach it, so I got it for him.

–My biology teacher made a typo on one of our quizzes and I brought it up to his desk and pointed it out to him. Now he won’t have to deal with this problem next year.

–My 7 year old neighbor was riding his scooter in the street in front of my driveway one time and I waited until he passed before I backed the car out.

–I let my little sister beat me in mario kart one time (i could have won easily but I wasn’t trying).

–At the grocery store one time, my mom gave me a list of groceries to go get, but I went above and beyond and brought back everything on the list PLUS 4 containers of ice cream and a 60 pack of bagel bites.

–someone tripped over their own feet in the hallway one time and they thought nobody saw, but I asked them if they were okay.

–we were shootin hoops in PE one time and someone made a shot so I gave them the ball back as a reward.

–A lot of lawn care services charge 20 dollars to mow the lawn, but my mom only paid me $15 and I never complained.

–One of my lab partners had missed the lab and they asked me what we did that day, but I didn’t tell them because I don’t cheat and they need to learn for themselves.

–Tax season was coming around one year and I said to my parents, “remember to pay your taxes”.

I’m just playing around pcuzican! You have a very impressive resume and as good a chance as anyone at UT

lol ^^ that made me laugh.

Sketchedout:
I really enjoyed your sense of humor. It’s quite entertaining. ECs are really overrated in my opinion. I would probably give you a big thumbs up if I were on the adcom.

Haha. Sorry. All the community service is stuff my counselor had me put on for the air force academy and the naval academy. She knew what she was doing though. I would have been the 8th kid she sent from a 200 kid high school in 6 years. but i passed up the opportunity. Thank you all, though!
