Hi everyone! If you could chance me on the above schools, I would really appreciate it. If you have any info / knowledge of affordable summer programs that deal with international relations (my intended major), politics, national security, or language, feel free to include that too! Although I will probably be making a separate thread for that.

I haven't taken the SATs or ACTs yet, keep in mind.

I will also be including some ECs that I haven't completed now but that I am pretty sure will be in the future, in a perfect world. Ie, this means although I've only been in sga for 2 years, I plan on going the whole 4 and running for an office.

PSAT: all in high 70s
Class Rank: roughly 30/400
Percentile: 7th
GPA: 3.6 (unweighted), 3.9 (weighted)

Multiple language classes that set me apart:
5 years of Spanish up to the AP level
4 years of Latin up to AP level
3 years of French
2 Years of German

Basic knowledge of Japanese through self-study.

Extra Curriculars:

Mock trial attorney- 3 years. Hard work. This year as a sophomore my team made it to the semi-finals before being knocked out. I can't predict the future, but I am confident that my team has the potential to win it all next year.

SGA president, 2 years, member for 4

Wrestling / martial arts- I'm the first female wrestler EVER in my school and county. I compete against boys on the varsity and JV levels. This is my first year wrestling, as a sophomore. I haven't won a match & am not very good at it, but it's something I love and enjoy doing. Aside from wrestling for my school, I also do jui jitsu, muay tai, and judo, martial arts that I AM relatively good at.

For my essay, I'm planning on writing about my experience as a female wrestler in a sport dominated by males, & about how my love of martial arts spurred me to teach myself Japanese.

Special awards / honors:
- Johns Hopkins Scholar
- National Honor Society member
- National Spanish Honor Society member

((What I am worried most about is my lack of community service, lack of travel experience - especially with my intended major, and mediocre grades. Tell me if I'm right/wrong to think this. ))

Thanks so much!
