Chance a hopeful for the University of Chicago? :)

Hi guys! :) The University of Chicago is truly my dream school, and I'll be applying Early Decision this fall.

GPA: 4.28 weighted & 3.63 unweighted
Rank: top 3 percent, not sure of my rank we're not given this.
AP's taken: 5 junior and sophomore year, and five my senior.
(AP World, AP Human, AP Spanish Language, AP English, APUSH, and this year I'm taking, AP Bio, AP Stats, AP American Government, AP Psych, and AP English Literature)
I'm hispanic with dual citizenship in the United States and Venezuela
I'm also from an underrepresented region of the country.
SATS: 2150

ECs:
Marching Band, Frosh and Sophomore year (Also, incredibly time consuming, 6-9 rehearsals three days a week, as well and weekend long competitions)
International Thespian Society
National Honors Society
Musicals and Play productions (these REALLY limit my time, as they require 3-6 rehearsals nightly, as well as weekend rehearsals)
Editorial Intern at County Magazine (Required six hours a week)
School Newspaper
Also, in the process of beginning a new youth organization of Black Box Productions along with some friends and my editor at the internship.
Creative logics Club ("Gifted" Club)

Extras:
Girls State
PYIC
Student of the Month, 4 times, once Freshman year, twice sophomore, and once junior.
Relay For Life Captain/Coordinator for my school
"Gifted"
Prom Royalty my Junior year? hahaha. :)

What worries me the most is the fact that while I did well for the most part last year... I received 5 A's, but I received a C in Honors Chemistry Class. :/ I tried, super hard in that class, but I was unable to get it up to a C (I missed a lot of days as it was my sixth hour, and thats when most of doctors appointments were (sickly kid, ahahaha) as well as the fact science is not my strong point, and the teacher was heinous).

That's me in a nutshell, am I a viable option for the University?

Thanks so much!

Uchicago does not have an ed, only ea available

I’d say your numbers are relatively in the range, but just make sure that your ECs are not simply “time consuming”, you’d need more leadership postitions. Your new org. sounds interesting, and that would make you co-founder right?
Also get solid essays and recs, though I doubt their importance in the admissions process is highly inflated. Don’t worry too much about one C. Good luck!

in

lorem ipsum

Hmmm…your unweighted GPA seems a bit low, but maybe they’ll get you are not a “science person.” Your SAT seems good, but you might be able to get it up even more. Also, write something really great for your essays that sets you apart from everyone else (because a bunch of people applying to UofC have the same stats as you).

^ Um, I think his GPA is fine.

Sorry, meant Early Action. :/

^^ also, she. hahaha.

Thanks guys! This was really helpful!
