Have you looked at any of the midwestern LACs like Grinnell, Kenyon, Carleton, and Macalester? They are generous with financial aid, esp Grinnell. Kenyon gave my latina daughter a merit offer of $20,000 per year. These colleges are also trying to increase their diversity and LACs in general need males (I’m guessing from the height). Good luck.

You have a good shot at all the schools your applying to, especially the UC’s.

The ivy league schools, and “tier 1s” on the other hand are basically tough for everyone to get in. You have the GPA, and scores, but even then there’s no guarantee as they reject qualified people every year. Even though, I think you have a GREAT shot considering your well rounded and have great extra curriculars. :)

Truthfully I’m not going to say “safety, match, reach, etc” as I feel you have a good shot at all the schools listed. (Except the tough ones which everyone has a low shot at getting into lol)

Also, nice to see a fellow Key clubber! Good luck. ;)

Definitely study for the SAT - it’ll help you out big time, especially since you already have a relatively decent score without studying at all.

For the writing, I’d recommend buying a grammar book, memorizing all the rules, and then take practice writing tests (buy the book *11 real practice tests by the Collegeboard) (~6-10 should be enough), reviewing your mistakes and analyzing your areas of weakness after each practice test.

For the math, if you practice enough there is no reason you can’t get above a 750 if you review the basics at [Homework Help for Math, Algebra, Calculus, Trigonometry, Geometry, and Statistics - CliffsNotes](<a href=“Pardon Our Interruption”>Pardon Our Interruption) and take many practice tests.

If you’re running out of time in each section, more practice is the way to go.

And you’re doing great in CR - apparantly, your vocab and reading speed and comprehension are excellent.

As for as your ECs and courses go, they’re fine. Just increase your SAT score and you should be able to get into all the UCs, Cornell, and Duke. MIT, Stanford, Priceton, Harvard, and Johns Hopkins would be reach.

What is your number 1? you better say princeton. anyway things look good. remember i you can never have too much community service. also have you thought about pomona or swarthmore? try looking into more LACs
