Hi everyone! I am a junior in a public northern California high school. Currently I have a weighted GPA of 3.70 by the end of this year it should be around a 4.1. I am involved in the Eco club, la raza unida, YAT, Mock trial, SCA and I have around 130 community service hours. By the end if this year I hope to have at least 350 hours of community service. My mother is Irish and mexican and my father is Mexican, because of their cultural influence on me I do traditional Mexican dances. Will being mexican help me with my chances getting into college? I expect my sat score to be around a 2000. Do I have any chance of getting into NYU UCB UCLA UC davis? Thanks for reading :)

Are you an ELC candidate? Calculate your GPA using the UC GPA formula. Your projected SAT score of 2000 probably better matches you to Davis, Irvine or even San Diego than UCLA and Cal, but you still have s shot at them with your URM status. I’d still say low reaches at Cal and UCLA given your stats and resume. Go to the link below, click on “Custom Tables”, answer a bunch of questions, and enter up to 3 “mean characteristics” at a time to see what the admit rates are for someone that matches your profile at the various UCs:
