So, I recently received my ACT scores and I'm not so happy. I used to think that chance threads were kind of annoying, so call me a hypocrite.

I'm a junior, in a high school thats located in the suburbs of Chicago.

Stats:

Class Rank: Top 25% of 521 (That's all my school reveals)

GPA: 4.70 W on a 5.0 scale.

ACT: 25 C (27E, 25M, 23R, 24S,8 W)
Taking again in April. Hoping for at least 27+.

Intended major: Journalism/ Mass Communications

No APs because my counselor never urged me to take them. Taking AP Env. Science next year.

ECs:
-School Newspaper: (Staff writer last year, now I'm Copy Editor, possibly EIC next year).
-Scholastic Bowl since freshmen year. (It's trivia bowl.)
-Green Grens (Environmental Group) since freshmen year.
-NHS next year.
-Reporter for a teen newspaper published by the Chicago Tribune.

Family makes <40k a year.

Do I stand a chance at these schools?:

Mizzou
Indiana University
U of Illinois
Marquette U
Drake University

You should be accepted to those schools. The only thing that might hold you back is your act score. Though, you still have time to improve those.
