Also, given I would gladly attend any of these schools, please give me advice on where I should apply EA or ED to.
Let me know if there is any other info. you need
Thanks so much! :)

Any advice? :)

just out of curiosity, how do you get a 4.0 UW with A-'s? Does the school drop the minuses and pluses?

Yeah the A-'s and A+'s show up on our transcript, but only the flat letter grade is factored into our GPA

^don’t most… An A is an A for unweighted, I thought.

I’m not exactly an expert on how GPA is calculated…
Any responses to my actual question? (:

I forgot USC and Johns Hopkins on my list
I know some of the schools listed are probably crazy reaches, but I need advice on which ones and if I need more safeties. Thanks again in advance!

Anyone? Advice of any kind is greatly appreciated! :)

You are fine. Fantastic transcript and rank, good varied ECs, and nice test scores.
Make your essays unique and personal and you have a shot at all of these schools.

You are almost definately in UCSD, UCI, NYU and Penn State.
The others I would suspect you don’t get into all but certainly at least half of those upper-echelon schools.

Yeah those tippy top schools are really good. Basically nobody is a lock for those. But you will definitely get in some, and will get in your safeties (PSU etc.) I would NOT apply ED because you will definitely get in some of those schools and you want to leave your options open. Since it sounds like you are open to a variety of schools, I would really stay away from this (unless you decide you absolutely HAVE to go to one). Good luck. Chance back? http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/what-my-chances/1055573-i-know-its-early-but-chances-junior.html

Thanks so much you guys! And yah, I agree it would probably be better to keep my options open
Any others for chances?

Buuuuummpppp?? :)

Pleeeeeeaaaaseeeee (:

Anyyyyyooneeee??

Pretty pretty please!!

Ed to penn!!!

Before you decide on applying ED anywhere, please talk to your parents about how you’re paying for college. Not many people realize this—you can get out of an ED agreement if your family absolutely can’t make it work financially, but it’s a bit of an inconvenience and you should know what you can and can’t afford in any case.

I’d say match/high match for NYU, USC, UCLA, Johns Hopkins (based on results for me/my school this year). I can’t speak well for most of the others, but I think you know which ones are the reaches.

Thank you all very much!
I will definitely need some financial aid and I will be applying for scholarships
