Chance a junior for ED

I'm nearing the end of my junior year, and I'm interested in applying ED to Cornell.

Class rank: 1/360
GPA: 4.00/4.78
SAT: V-670, M-680, W-650
ACT: 30
EC: marching band, wind ensemble, band officer 2 years, 2 years State S&E Superior, NHS one year (two counting next year), Mu Alpha Theta with similar timing.
AP: Language 3, World History 4, US History 5. I'm taking AP Econ and Lit as well as Chem this year, and plan on taking AP Bio, Physics, Calc and Government next year.
Ethnicity/Gender: Caucasian and Hispanic/Male

My EC's are a bit weak, but there aren't really any competitions or things like that in a small town in Louisiana. If I apply ED, should I have a very good shot?

Only thing holding you back are your test scores.

Also, make sure to take SAT II…unless you’re submitting ACT?

Yeah he’s right. Your test scores will throw you off, because the way I understand it they categorize you immediately based on test scores and GPA and then take it from there. If you get it above 2100 you should have a real shot. Also get some volunteer work or something in there, and a kick-ass essay. Could u chance me on Middlebury? I just posted a thread.

You need some community service, and seeing that you are ranked 1 in your class, you will probably be able to get your SAT scores up.

Do this, your in ED.
