Chance a junior for UF?

Hi everyone,

I'm a junior in a good private Catholic high school located in Tampa, FL. My school sents a LOT of applicants to UF and other Florida schools.

My cumulative GPA right now is: 3.55 unweighted/3.97 weighted (this will improve) with mostly honors and AP classes

My school doesn't rank

ECs:
President of the Astronomy club (10th)
Volunteering at a local nursing home (75 hours and counting)
National Honor Society
National Spanish Honor Society
Few other irrelevant clubs and sports that I hated

and I'll be doing a few things over the summer.

I haven't taken any standardized tests yet, but I'm taking the ACT in June and two SAT subject tests (Biology M and Spanish)

Any thoughts? Thank you!! Keep in mind that I will do more ECs and my GPA will be higher than what you see because I'm taking all AP classes next year.

How am I looking so far?! Thank you!

They only look at your GPA freshman thru Junior year, so your GPA does not really matter as a senior as far as being admitted.
A Strong Senior schedule is a Plus, so it is good you plan on taking many AP

I think it really depends on your test scores…average ACT was a 30
Average GPA was a 4.3 of admitted students

Try to boost the EC if possible…and Good Luck

Here is a thread of peoples stats that got accepted/rejected this year:

UF also does not look at SAT subject scores, so make sure you score well on the ACT and write a good essay!

TC or Jesuit?

And as long as you get your ACT above 27 and your SAT over a 1850, you should get in as long as you write good essays
