Your academics are really strong, and ECs are good too. Being Asian works in your favor as well as they are looking for more international diversity. I think you have a very good chance! Did you interview on campus? My son is a junior there (South Asian) and placed at DECA states also before going to Wake. He is doing very well and loves Wake.

Probably a reasonable reach. Honestly, I don't know how it will be interpretted if you don't send in SAT's. I doubt they are simply disregarding them. It will be interesting to see how that changes admissions if the applicant does not include them with their application. So Wake is probably a reasonable reach for you. Your grades and activities are strong, but your scores would be on the low end.

^ No, Jeli25 i have not interviewed on campus yet. im applying to many schools however because of my ACT ive been skepitcal of my ability recently.

Applying to

and so far, my test scores are no where close to what i need. Im shooting for a 31+ in June.

btw, thank you for the responses i greatly appreciate it.

Daniel, if your test scores aren't good don't send them. Looks like you have a lot of other pluses that you can highlight on the application, though.

What event are you competing in at DECA, btw? My younger son is competing in states in a couple of weeks in International Business Plan.

the admissions officer that interviewed me told me to only send my SAT scores if i felt they were really an outstanding supplement to my application. as i knew they weren't anything outstanding, i told him i wouldn't send them. even knowing this he let me submit my application a month late for early action. so i'm pretty sure they completely disregarded it in my case haha.

if you’re worried about your ACT why don’t you try to take an SAT? you might find that you do better since it’s kind of a different type of test (more analytical)
