Chance a Junior (ivy school chances) this moment, this instant, this life

I already asked about UCs, but then I forgot to ask about the Ivies, so...um...Cornell and Columbia chances? (For kicks, [only if you want] can you chance me for HYPS - even though there will be no point b/c I'm most likely not applying to HYPS.)

Thank you.

I don’t know if I should do this, but bump?

Although strong grades and SAT scores, I think the ECs are somewhat lacking direction.
You want to say to the adcom that you have passion- you are not just some dork or nerd that would be anti-social. By passion I mean spending time in ECs somewhat related then make them or your passion the topic for your essay. Example: Passion for Math, then ECs should show it as well as teachers recs and essays.

If you do that you would increase chances at the Ivies. I believe academically you are stable and can handle Ivies so the adcoms would obviously look at what you as a person can bring to the table (ie ECs)

chance me back? thanks.

cornell and columbia would be reaches, but not undoable. your sat score is actually going to hurt you in admissions, because it’s a tad low. Also, you are lacking strong ECs and meaningful awards, and i think at this point there is nothing more you can do (as a junior, just joining clubs senior year will not look good on an app, and may actually hurt you, b/c it will look as if you are just joining them for the sake of being in more clubs). Try to work on getting more awards, or doing something over the summer regarding your prospective major.
Based on your high psat scores try to apply to some good schools that offer scholarships for NMF.
GL.

Grade wise I think your right around the corner with Ivies, but you definetely need better EC’s maybe some leadership positions, maybe volunteer work, awards :)

help me out plz :)
