I may not be able to finish the IB program because my dad got a new job in NJ and I'm from FL :(. I'm looking at top schools like Brown, Yale, NYU, Dartmouth, Stanford, Harvard, UC's, Northwestern, Princeton, Reed, and Cornell. Anymore colleges I should look at, please feel free to input :)

bumppppppppppppppppppp :)

your EC is AMAZING!!!if u improve your ACT scores, you will definitely have a shot !!

You have a great shot…

Other Schools you could get into that are your level:

USC
Vanderbilt
Emory
UCLA…
but really it depends on what atmosphere you want and what you want to major in

Reed as in the liberal arts college in Oregon? In

NYU? A match.

UCs- into Riverside, Merced, probably into all but UCLA/Berkeley

the others are all huge reaches. Your ECs are very far and scattered, and even then it doesn’t look like you have tons of interest in them. Nothing really stands out. And all of those summer-“leadership” camps you have are pretty much run by for-profit companies to make kids think it’ll help them in college, the only summer-program like these that colleges like is TASP.

By the way, you can’t complete the IB diploma program. You NEED to be in IB english to complete the program, which you aren’t. Best case for you is the IB certificate.

^ AP English Lit at my school is combined with IB English SL. If I was to continue at the school, my schedule would be
IB Math HL
AP Psych
IB English HL
IB Chem HL
IB French 5 SL
IB History of the Americas HL
IB TOK/free period.

Surprisingly, I truly AM interested in my ECs that I have continued. For those I have stopped, I found out I had very little interest in, hence, I discontinued them lol. Math is my true passion.

OTHER INFO:

intended major - Math (not applied math)
hooks- Brown legacy, top untrained singer (perform at a local talent center occasionally), Trying out for American Idol next year :), Great ECs from teachers. If I move, I will STILL get my GC at my school now to right me a rec. We’re really close so I feel like it would be stupid not to :).

Oh, also, last saturday I got 3rd place a the state tournament and was the youngest participant :). It was at a college competition that I was invited to attend.

IB Assessments (so far):
IB English Oral SL: 26/30
IB Chemistry SL lab: 3,5,6
IB CS SL Dossier: being graded

bump…

please :)… bumpp

You don’t need to keep bumping your affirmation topic.

bump :)…

In all honesty you’re shooting very high given your AP and ACT scores. You need to round out your list with very solid match schools. It’s extremely rare to see an ivy admit with several 3’s and 4’s on AP tests.
