Individual Research Work in Nanobiotechnology Field; fabrication of devices for tissue engineering(cool stuff)-->Definitely interested in this field as shown in research opps and other ECs; a definite hook-point in my App

I've applied to a numerous amount of summer programs (pre-college/internships/etc.) so hopefully one of those works out

Nothing too spectacular but there is stuff I havent mentioned Oh well, Ill hope for the best!

keep at the wonderful stuff you are doing..don't worry much, you are right on track..try to start with your essay drafts in the summer itself; i feel most applicants have similar stats, the only way the ad com can differentiate is by judging the essays..be yourself and keep your fingers crossed..good luck

kind of common stuff but its the right kind of stuff. now all you have to do, like vandit said, is find something really interesting about yourself to make an impression on the adcom and write about it in your essays. once you have the stats and ECs, like you and thousands of other applicants will have, it comes down to those essays because they're the most personal view the adcom gets of you.

thanks for the advice. I'm probably going to direct my essays towards my research experience/interest in med field as my passion in learning. Or my passion for ultimate frisbee! which is the greatest thing ever; to get that club started i had to write a paper on the physics of how the frisbee works to get my physics teacher to sponsor me...in one night! greatest decision ever.

^ I would definitely write about the Ultimate Frisbee stuff. That's the kind of unique stuff Penn looks for. So many applicants try to ride the research-route and it doesn't seem to help. The ticket is to find something, ANYTHING, to show your passion for something unique.

SEAS is the School of Engineering and Applied Science. It's arguably the hardest school in Penn, but it just shows you that SAT's don't matter as much as people think.

haha my bad closeyboy! misinterpreted. Good work. i agree however they certainly matter to a certain degree. one can tell that from the mid50% ranges of various schools.
