Chance a Junior Who Fell In Love With Notre Dame?

Hey everyone! It would be really cool if you could take a look and give me a chance :)

Ethnicity: White
Region: Michigan
Sex: Female
Religion: Methodist (will this hurt/help my app?)

GPA: 3.99 (My school doesn't weight)
Rank: We aren't ranked until senior year but I would say top 10% at least
ACT: english: 31; math: 29; composite: 30 (I just took it again and am waiting on scores)
SAT: english: 700; math: 650; writing: 560 (I also retook this and know my score went up)

Extracurriculars:
Teaching sunday school to 4 yrs- preschool (this year and next)
Vacation Bible School- I have helped every year since age 12
Serving meals at the local homeless center once a month through my church

Job:
I clean a jewelry store and have for all of HS (summer and durring the school year)
I am hoping to get a second job over the summer but the job market is pretty scarce.

Sports:
Crew- 2 seasons as a freshman one as a sophomore
Ski racing team (varsity)- Newly formed this year
I have been skiing since i was 4 and learned to snowboard this year (snow sports are my passion :) )
I've been going to a gym on my own since freshman year but I don't think that really counts for anything :p

Clubs:
NHS- inducted as a sophomore
French Club (treasurer) - every year in hs. I will be running for pres next year
Key club- this year and next
One Child at a Time (Founder/President): Raises money to sponsor children in impoverished countries

APs:
This year: Chem and English (2 of the 3 available for juniors) I will test on both
Next year: Physics, AB Calc, French, Humanities (basically art history)

Honors:
I made it to the local level of the chem Olympiad (I haven't gotten results for nationals yet) but would this really count for anything?

Other info:
I will be taking part in a mentoring program next year called trailblazers where seniors go to local elementary schools for an hour every day
I also applied to be an OG (orientation guide)

Thanks for taking the time to read through all of this! I really appreciate it. I know my user name is "Princeton girl" but that was before i discovered Notre Dame. To me it is everything and more that I could ever want in a college!

Your unweighted GPA is a little low. Try to get that elusive .01.

Everything looks good, but have you considered releasing a few more krakens? My friend released about 10 over the summer and got a glowing letter of rec from Liam Neeson. Needless to say, he got in ED to Brown.

But seriously, what more can you do? You’ve got an excellent profile. Keep up the academic and EC performance, and write some solid essays and you’re looking good.

Haha thanks for the chance :)

scores on standardized tests are a little low so hopefully the retakes work - get more involved in the snow sports and make sure to leave a LEGACY there - this is something ND looks for - taking your passion to the next level, ND loves people who leave LEGACIES and have a PASSION

I know that ND treats EA a little differently then other schools but if my test scores do improve would it be to my advantage to apply EA?

Well if ND sees your username, that won’t help. :P

Haha I hope they don’t

I think you should be fine - the only people who do not make it through the EA process are those who the university does not see as making the cut in the RD field, so if you are denied in EA you wouldn’t have been accepted RD anyways.

Thanks for all the chances :)

I think your test scores are a little low for Notre Dame, but your GPA is great. I’m not sure that little .01 will make thatttt much of a difference. Your EC’s are…interesting. Get the scores up and I think it’s a match.
