HOOKS:

I am of Hispanic descent.

I will not be applying for financial aid.

Gonna bump.

I would get that math SAT up, though I’m sure they a double standard for engineering and non-engineering students. Try to finish this year as strong as possible, and you can always retake the SAT/ACT to improve.

BTW I’m applying next year too! I have a 3.84UW GPA (4.11 W) and 1970 SAT (660CR, 740M, 570W) with the ACT yet to be released. Industrial Engineering major (trying to get into Wall Street). But enough about me, I wish you all the best :D

There’s actually not a double standard - major plays no role in the admissions decision.

As far as your chances, you’ll want to bring up the Math and CR. Shoot for at least a 700 Math and 650 CR. Also, you’ll want to get your GPA into the 3.7+ UW range. If you can take AP Calc in high school, you absolutely want to do that.
