Chance a junior?

Just anxious to see how my chances are even though I know it's early.

GPA: 4.0 UW (school doesn't weight)
SAT: 2200 (680 CR, 750 M, 770 W); first time, taking again and very confident i'll score higher
ACT: 33 (very confident i'll score higher; i was sick on test day with a sinus infection)
APs: APUSH, AP Lang, AP Calc AB junior year (anticipating 5s) and AP Biology and AP Literature senior year (this is the most rigorous schedule possible at my school; I've taken many honors classes)
Rank: 1/170
Likely valedictorian
Likely National Merit Finalist

ECs:
NHS (looking to be an officer next year)
Student government (possibly class president next year)
Basketball (4 years; JV captain sophomore and junior, varsity letters junior and will get one as a senior)
Baseball (3 years; JV as a freshman, varsity as junior and senior)
I'll end with 4 Varsity letters
Over 300 hours of community service
I'll have had at least 2 part time jobs when I graduate
Ambassador Club
MUN

I don't know if this is a hook, but being Catholic, I've been an altar server since the 4th grade and I've received a national award.

I'm also teaching myself computer programming if that matters.

Please chance!

Impressive r

Thanks!

Anyone else?

Yes, I think you have a great shot at ND! Are you applying EA?

Most likely. There’s a scholarship available to students in the seven counties of Columbus, Ohio (one of which i live in) called the Glenna R. Joyce Scholarship that offers a full ride to either Ohio State or Notre Dame. I’m hoping to receive that seeing as it isn’t nearly as competitive as would be a scholarship through the school.

But to answer your question, there’s a 99% chance I will be applying EA.

Bump

10char

Very, very impressive r

Really? I feel like my ECs are the weakest part of my application.

Nice. The 680 CR might hurt you a bit though.

Sent from my HTCAmaze4G using CC

Yeah I was shocked at how poor I did on CR. I got a 71 on CR on the PSAT which is a little bit better. I’m confident I can score something in the 750 range though.

I think you have a really good chance! Dont worry about the SAT scores that much. I just got admitted last month and I have a 650 CR and 670 W. What I was told by alumni many times during my application process was to stress that you aren’t just focused on academics. I incorporated in my essay that I wanted to become a better world citizen through serving others. They want someone who is amazing all around. In addition, make it seem like Notre Dame is the only school that you want to go to.

Hope this helps.
