Chance a junior?

Please chance me for Princeton, Columbia, Penn, Johns Hopkins, NYU, Kenyon, and Emerson.

I attend a private school in FL. My school does not rank, although percentages are given by GPA. Only 1% (about 3 per graduating class) of students get a 4.0 UW (aka grade inflation does not exist here lol). Generally, students go to top schools.

GPA: 3.8 UW, 4.2 W
ACT: 35
SAT I: don’t expect to take
SAT II: American H (770), Literature (750)
AP tests / predictions based on mocks: WHAP (4), Lang (5), Gov (5), Enviro (5), APUSH (5)
AP tests for my senior year: AP Lit, AP Stat, AP Bio, AP Psych, AP Art History

Extracurricular:
NHS (2 years)
Spanish Honor Society (3 years)

Drama Club member (4 years)
Thespian Society member (4 years)
Drama Publicity Head (junior year)
Drama VP (next year)
Acted in 5+ HS plays (leads in a few)
Ran tech for 3 HS plays
Received perfect scores for several acting events at a well-known drama competition

Attended a semi-prestigious writing program the summer of my freshman year
Got the highest score possible for playwriting at a well-known drama competition
Youngest featured reader at a local reading series
Published in several well-known lit mags (i.e. not the New Yorker, but most writers would recognize them)
Book review blog - I receive advance reader copies from publishers in exchange for honest reviews
I’ve written a short screenplay that is being produced by an NYU film major

I have volunteered ~150 hours, mostly at the library, tutoring kids in reading, and interning for a non-profit that gives educational opportunities to underprivileged kids

I expect my recommendations to be good.

Also, I’ve written a novel(unpublished), but I’m not sure if it’s worth mentioning. I know it’s commonly seen as an admission ploy, but considering creative writing is my passion I’m wondering if I should mention it.

Thanks.

Thanks! > Thanks.

great chance.

Thanks!

If you can, try publishing your novel. My friend published his at age 14 (making him one of the youngest published novelists in the country) and got into Stanford despite being in a bad Atlanta public school.

Bump

Anyone can get a novel published.

I don’t agree with Roundgenius. You have an special interest and that is writing. Not everyone can write(I am horrible), so try to publish your novel and do things and show your uniqueness. Good Luck!

@Asaltb
There are services that allow you to publish your novel for very little. It is extremely cheap.
