I'm not sure if I'm good enough, but let's hope so. I'm from Minnesota, and am a white male.

GPA UW: 3.000 (bad 9th grade and beginning of 11th)
GPA Weighted: 3.07
Projected ACT: 29-33
Good EC's (clubs, theater, athletics, peer tutor, etc)

Classes Junior Year:
Honors Algebra II
AP English Lit
AP Psychology
Spanish III
AP US History
AP Chemistry
Anatomy

Senior Year:
Honors Pre-Calc
AP English comp
AP Euro
AP Spanish IV
Honors Govt
AP Econ
Honors Physics

...Do you think I can make it in?

your GPA is a little bit low, but the UW is starting to look past that now if you offer strong ECs and a rigorous schedule.

Your junior and senior schedules look really strong, get a good GPA jr year and don't drop any of your APs or Honors and your chances will increase tenfold.

I don't really know anything about ACT's so I couldn't tell you but I think 29-33 is a good score, isn't it?

FYI, the UW looks at unweighted GPAs

I'd say it looks pretty good -- like cman8123 said, the GPA may be a bit low, but the projected ACT and your schedules look great.

Just be aware, UW's probably going to be cutting its budget this year. As a result, the acceptance rates are more than likely going to be much more competitive than before, especially when you consider that the last few years have seen record numbers of applicants.

However, I hope that didn't discourage you. I think the best thing to do is to make sure to have an excellent junior year. Junior year is really, really important.

29-33 is a big difference.
It's like saying SATs 1800-2200

29-33 is the the estimated score that the PLAN test gave me.

In reality, I'll probably get somewhere around a 28, hopefully higher.

the PLAN test is actually really accurate-- my first ACT I scored smack dab in the middle of the projected score.
