<p>Please chance me? LAST chance thread (hopefully) ever...</p>

<p>GPA: 4.5208
Rank: 2/500ish
SAT I: 710 Math, 740 CR, 790 Writing
SAT II: 700 Lit, 730 US History
APs: World History 5 (semi-self studied), Macro 3</p>

<p>ECs: Founder - Millville Students for a Democratic Society, Congressional Awards Gold Medal (400 hrs. community service at local hospital's ER, local art studios), President of Go Green Club, Mock Trial (lawyer past 2 yrs), Senior Class Secretary, Model Congress (Committee Chair, Caucus Founder), Student Council, NHS, Academic Team, German and Latin National Honor Societies, 7 yrs. of art lessons, Spring Musical/Fall Play (Student Publicist), JV Tennis (3 yrs.)</p>

<p>Events: HOBY, UN Student Conference on Human Rights (drafting committee), Robert Wood Johnson Mini-Med School (semi-selective), NJ Governor's School for Int'l Studies, Canvassed for Obama, NYLF on Medicine</p>

<p>Other: Bloustein Scholar</p>

<p>Essays: Should be a strong point, Common App about experience canvassing, disillusionment with Obama
Recs: Saw 1 that was great, others should be pretty good</p>

<p>Other: Female, White, Southern New Jersey, relatively poor public school (rarely sends to top schools)
Major: International Relations, Womens and Gender Studies or Philosophy</p>

<p>Schools: Brown (applied ED, deferred), Penn, Middlebury, Vassar, Swarthmore (legacy -2 uncles alum, great uncle taught there in the 50s - probably irrelevant; great interview), Wesleyan, Bard, The New School (Lang), NYU, GW, BU, Hampshire</p>

<p>I'm considering Swarthmore ED II. Should I hold out for Brown or Penn, go for it, or do I not have a shot? Another deferral would really hurt...</p>
