bump…anyone?

Oh btw im applying into business undergrad program .

Hey oldnite1
HKUST is a great University and normally if you apply earlier then you can get a full scholarship with >38 IB points which is what I got!
Business undergrad at HKUST is amazing! and its cheap too! plus the campus is just out of this world (:
I have applied for Mech Engineering, and will be joining in September 2010! If you have some extra-curricular activities to go with your marks you should get in…

Good Luck!
Let me know if yu have any Q’s…
My best friend is from Korea and has been after my life to apply to KAIST!! But in the end he agreed when I bribed him with chicken curry  So i’m going to Hong Kong now!

oldnite1: you have a great chance of getting into hkust. in fact, with that IB score you can even aim for Global Business at hkust, which is supposedly to be one of the hardest programs to get into. they normally give offers to IB dip students with a score of 38-40.
Commenting on sarthak, actually scholarships does not depend on when you apply. If your final ib score is over 38, you get a full scholarship. if it is in between 35-37, then I believe it is half an year scholarship. and if 33-35, its 20000 hkd.

Maybe you are right cyscfw, but I know atleast 8 people in my class that are getting more than 40, and 4 of them are applying to HKUST, so there is a lot of competition! Even with 38 points, i’m like rank 16 in our class!!!
Apparently our School is supposed to have the best set of results for any International School in China… Good and bad at the same time…
Thats true, though the HKUST representative told me otherwise, however, our college counsellor told me a student from last year who got 40 applied really late and still got full scholarship! So maybe it doesnt depend on the time of application after all…
The scholarship is full if over 38, half if over 35, and 15,000 if over 33…
