<p>Hey guys, i was wondering if you could offer your opinions of my chances of getting into: Umichigan, UNC, Uwisconsin, UC Berkeley, UCLA, USC, UVA, and Brown(big reach, applying ED for the slim slim chance i get in). All are OOS.</p>

<p>Academics:
SAT- 710 CR, 710 M, 720 W
SAT II- taking in november hoping 750+ Math II, 700+ Chemistry
GPA- Kinda was a lazy bum beginning of high school, but have improved since then.
Freshman- 3.2 Sophomore- 3.7 Junior-3.8 (3.6 unweighted overall)
For the UC schools my gpa is a 4.0. And Umichigan gpa is a 3.7
Took all honors and APs and am going to have 6 APs by the end of this year.
Rank- top 11%</p>

<p>ECs
Ping Club- 11, 12, Vice President and Founder
Cross Country- 9,10,11,12. State champions freshman year, and junior year.
Indoor Track- 9,10,11,12 State Champions junior year
Outdoor Track- 10,11,12
Portland Conservatory of Music (honor student)- 9,10,11,12. Have played piano for 11 years. Played in numerous recitals in Portland as well as school.
National Honor Society- 12
Oak Hill Players (Cinderella Play)- 11
My friend and I have raised money for people in Sudan to build a school, and also have created the Sudan Benefits Concert, which is happening later this year. </p>

<p>Alright ya i know my gpa kinda sucks, but hopefully they'll consider my upward trend as well as the well roundedness of my ECs(sports/volunteering/ect). I know i'll be going against a bunch of super competitive asians, but im going to try and make my essays stand out to show my (non stereotypical asian)traits, such as being outgoing and funny. Also i dont know how my OOS status will affect the state schools. Thanks for taking the chance to read, and hopefully you guys can help me out. If you guys have any questions just ask.</p>

<p>Your gpa is actually isn’t that bad…and you have ridiculous amounts of extra curriculars… I would say all the schools except brown will be a match or slight reach. And everything else academically besides your gpa looks good too. universities always favors students who take the most rigorous courseload they can. and 6 ap’s…that’s literally as rigorous as it gets. So don’t even sweat on any schools except for brown.</p>

<p>I think the colleges will be forgiving for your freshman slacking off because you did show significant improvement. Your EC’s are amazing. I would be surprised if any school (except maybe Brown) turned your down. However, write an amazing essay and you will be a good candidate for Brown too!</p>
