slaking junior year is no good :frowning:
GPA is low for most schools - to improve chances for most schools get that up this year
almost all are high reaches except BU and PSU(low match/safety) and Rochester and Syracuse which are probably matches. Good Luck - Mr.HS

scores are average (SATIIs are good :D), but your gpa might reflect laziness – =S try to improve it for your midyear report

Boston University - reach
Syracuse University - match
Columbia University - high reach

Chance me back at [thread=832526] Chances for Ivies, LACs, and bears, oh my! [/thread]

Honestly, although your gpa is low… Your scores and grades reflect that you’re capable of learning great things. I think colleges definitely consider th potential in students… They know that you’ll have a different perspective in college.

Syracuse Rochester and PSU are shoe-ins for you…

I think you’ll get into NYU and probably BU… As for JHU and Columbia… They’re reaches… But not as far as you may think… Good luck!

like others have said, low GPA but otherwise a strong applicant. Unfortunately most of these schools do see GPA as an important aspect of the app, so:
Boston University - low reach
Syracuse University - match
Columbia University - HUGE reach (make sure your essays/recs are IMPECCABLE and you’ll have a good shot)
Carnegie Mellon University - reach
Johns Hopkins University - high reach
University of Rochester - in
Penn State University - in
New York University - low reach

http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/what-my-chances/828507-chance-me-please-d.html</a></p>

thank you!

Everything seems strong except for your GPA. Like the poster above said, slacking off junior year is not good but its all good  I think other factors in your app make up for GPA like ur test scores, courses, and clubs. I think NYU, Carnagie Mellon, and Columbia are all reaches but you should still apply if you want to! The others would all be matches imo.
Plz chance bakc!http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/what-my-chances/832418-i-know-i-have-no-chance-but-why-not-chance-me-anyway-will-chance-back.html</a></p>
