Chance a legacy OOS at UVA

I'm only a junior but all this talk about college is making me nervous. I realize these posts are kind of obnoxious, but I figured I'd give it a shot. My father went to UVA and is in contact with the alumni association (he's a member and has kept in touch). I'm out of state, but I've heard that legacy can help a little.

Here are a couple stats about me:
GPA: 3.95 uw, something like a 4.6 weighted. To be honest, my GPA will probably go down to a 3.85ish by the time I submit my application. Junior year has been particularly difficult for me...
I'm planning on having taken 8 APs by the time I graduate. I'm currently in AP Lang. & Comp., AP Comparative Politics and AP Spanish Language and I have already completed AP US Govt (5 on the exam). I've gotten straight As in all my APs. My other classes this year are all honors.

SATs so far are eh. I've taken them once before and got a 1890 (though that was in November of this school year). I'm aiming for around a 2100 by the time I'm done taking them. I'm also taking the ACT and so far my practice tests put me at around a 33.
I'll be taking SAT IIs in Literature, Spanish and Math I (though I'm not expecting to do that well on the math as that's my weakest subject).
I'm really into Spanish and will be taking my second year of AP Spanish next year. I'm also doing a Spain student exchange program for about a month this summer along with some volunteer work.

ECs:
I row competitively for my school team and compete around the country. I'm not looking to be recruited, however. I have rowed on the varsity team since my sophomore year of high school. Next year I will be team captain.
I write for the school newspaper and will have an editing position next year.
I am vice president and co-founder of the Student Ambassadors Club at my school.
I am active in my synagogue's youth group.
I have won a few photography awards and have had some shots published in a teen magazine.
I have about 300 hours of community service from volunteering at a local soup kitchen a few years ago.

Thanks so much for taking the time to read all of this!

yea it would be tough to get recruited to uva because, i believe, their men’s team is club.

well, i’m a girl, so that would definitely be difficult! haha. but either way, i doubt i’m good enough to be recruited for UVA. For that I’m looking at DIII schools. UVA is olympic speed!

hmm… does anyone have any suggestions? thanks again!

I think you’re in. You have excellent grades and they treat legacies like in staters you should be good.

I checked this again after a few months and here’s an update:

I didn’t due nearly as well as I thought I would on the SAT: My score was a 2060; 700 CR, 700W (12 essay), 660 math.
I’m planning on retaking them this fall.
I was recently chosen to be managing editor of my school’s online newspaper, which is another major EC I’ve added to my schedule.

I’ll also be taking SAT IIs very soon.

With these stats current stats, do I still stand a chance at UVA? Or is it out of my reach?

Thanks for taking the time to look at all of this.

? any other responses?
