Chances for:
Yale
Brown
Wesleyan
UNC OOS
Michigan OOS

I don't know...i mean i know i have good numbers, but i feel like i don't have any amazing involvement or any "hooks."

Thanks!!! :)

Which SAT II's did you take?

my SAT II's were:
Math II 800
Chem 800
US History 770

right now i am kind of thinking of these schools as:

Match and/or slight reach:
UNC, Michigan, Wesleyan

Reach:
Brown

Uber-Reach:
Yale

I don't know how accurate that is though so any opinions would be really helpful

what were your clubs?

my clubs are Habitat for Humanity and Best Buddies.

sorry guys, i know some people get annoyed when you post tmi in chances threads so i tried not to, but i guess i ended up doing the opposite =/

Haha that's okay :). I think those are good clubs. Your academics are amazing, and your ECs are good...you are in at Michigan (friend with similar stats who got in with some money), Wesleyan = low reach/match, and the rest are reaches.

oh yay, i love Michigan =)

thanks chinnychinchang

bump

anyone else? :)

Yale & Brown - decent chance, but your ecs may hurt you
Wesleyan - yes
UNC OOS - yes
Michigan OOS - yes

I agree with chinnychinchang.

you really have a decent shot with those stellar grades and scores...but remember, senior yr isn't necessarily too late to crank up those ec's!

Wesleyan likes science majors with high SATs. They are boosting their science profile. I think you are a definite match at Wesleyan.

thank you!

Yale - really good scores, but ECs =/
Brown - probably, but brown loves ecs
Wesleyan - like someone said before yes
Michigan OOS - yess

It might just be me, I think your ECs are enough if you showed that you were really involved in them.

GL for Yale, I hope we can go together ^^

Yale-unpredictable
Brown-unpredictable
Wesleyan-In
UNC OOS-In
Michigan OOS-In

Your SAT I and II's are phenomenal, and your GPA is great (although not a perfect 4.0, your SATs should show admissions officers that you're quite smart), and your ECs aren't a laundry list. I'd be surprised if you didn't get into at least 1 ivy on your list, but the other schools you listed should accept you.

Good luck!

thanks everyone!!! =)
