Chance a Native American for MIT, CalTech, Stanford, CMU, HMC, Brown, and Carleton

<p>I have posted a chance thread before but my October SATs just came in and have semi-significantly changed my application. So, here I go:</p>

<p>Native American (w/ registration code)
Senior at small school
3.996 UWGPA, 5 of ~150 rank</p>

<p>SAT: 2330 (800 CR, 770 M, 760 W)
ACT: 35 (36 CR, 35 M, 34 S, 33 E)
SAT II: 800 M, 770 Chem, 750 Lit</p>

<p>APs: None. My school doesn't offer any AP or honors, but we do have a dual-enrollment college-credit program called CIS which is reputed to be of a similar difficulty level of APs.</p>

<p>Senior Courseload:</p>

<p>CIS Calculus
CIS Enlgish
CIS Physics
CIS World History
Programming with Java 1
Programming with Java 2
Technology Assistant
Wind Ensemble</p>

<p>The Java classes are being taken online through a local college.</p>

<p>ECs</p>

<p>Tennis (9th - 12th) - Team Captain 11 and 12, 1st Singles 11 and 12, 2013 Section Semifinalist
Speech (10th - 12th) - A boatload of minor awards and medals at individual meets, but nothing amazing
Knowledge Bowl (9th - 12th) - Team Captain 9-12, won JV sections my sophomore year
Math League (11th - 12th) - Team Captain, section runner-up last year
NHS (11th - 12th) - I've done basically nothing here
Computer Science Club (11th - 12th) - I co-founded this last year. Mix of programming and robotics
USTA Jr. Tennis Team (10th - 12th) - I travel with a USTA team in the summer, we won our section championships but didn't make it to nationals.
Outdoors - A lot of my essays are focused on my love of the outdoors. Skiing, snowshoeing, gardening, maple syrup tapping, wild rice harvesting, fishing, trapping, ice fishing, canoeing, hiking, birding, etc.
Band (9th - 12th) - I used to play the piano (some state-level awards) but I quit in 7th grade and picked up the Trumpet. I've written a decent essay on quitting piano.
Robotics (9th - 12th) - I'm addicted to NXTs</p>

<p>Went to Mexico for a week and a half last spring for a cultural immersion program. We volunteered at orphanages, etc.</p>

<p>Awards: Not much.
2013 TRIG-Star runner-up (trigonometry competition, won $200)
Nation Merit Semifinalist
Honor Roll 9-12 (no way!)</p>

<p>Recs will be very good but probably not outstanding. I'm a fairly creative writer and I have a lot to talk about, so I'd consider my essays fairly competitive with unique hooks (NA, outdoor experiences, I've knocked a wild timber wolf unconscious with a stick).</p>

<p>I'm looking to major in Computer Science, hopefully at one of the following schools:</p>

<p>MIT
Brown
Stanford
CalTech
Harvey Mudd
Carnegie Mellon
Carleton
Amherst
Tufts</p>

<p>Obviously these are mostly reaches, but what would y'all put my chances at? I'm low on awards, ECs, and opportunities for either. And I'm a URM. And I'm sorry for double-posting a chance thread, but my SAT score just jumped 150 this morning.</p>

<p>Thanks.</p>

<p>Not to be obnoxious, but if you’re native american you’re probably in everywhere, especially with those stats.</p>

<p>lol</p>

<p>Those scores are AMAZING, congratulations. But honestly I don’t think you needed the 150 bump in SAT, because you would be in everywhere with your good grades and URM status. You have your pick of schools I’d say!</p>

<p>In every where with these nice stats</p>

<p>Bump… Really looking for more opinions here! Thanks!</p>

<p>You’re a URM with high scores, good grades, and good ECs. I’d say you’re in everywhere. Lucky :)</p>

<p>EC’s aren’t that good imo, to spread out kind of random imo</p>

<p>You’re getting in anywhere. Don’t fret.</p>
