Thanks for whoever chances me, It’d make me so happy. Thanks again.

Agreed with consolation, Get your SAT up to good range standing and your chances increase exponentially. You could also try taking the ACT. I did better on it than the SAT. :)

And man… I’ve been gone from here for way too long… the whole look is different!

My son’s first year roommate at Dartmouth was a small percentage (1/16th, I think) Native American from Oklahoma with an 1120 on the (two-part) SAT. Dartmouth bends over backward for Native American applicants. This kid flunked out from too much partying, but came back and crossed the finish line to graduate.
IMO, if Dartmouth thinks you can do the work, with support, you will be admitted.
On the socio-economics, due to divorce, the student I mentioned had a low income mother (who had custody) and a wealthy father. The student had lived in France for a time.

Lol the sad thing is…does Dartmouth even care about income? I mean hes a native american…so basically I would b amazed if he was rejected from any school at all.

OP-
Lol, not sure how relevant this is…but are you one of those people who is like 25 percent Native American or are you like the real deal? I dont know of how many Native Americans live cultural tribal lives and make 150,000 a year.

I would disagree with the Native American sentiment. I have a friend who had a 32 on the ACT, and a 4.0 valedictorian who was native American, and was rejected from Dartmouth. They may have been more lenient in the past, but at least in this admission year, I didn’t see that kind of response from D.

Edit: he was 1/8 native I beleive. So not full, but in reality the amount of full Native Americans is probably extremely low.

I’m actually just 1/4th Native American however I take great pride in it. I take visits to all cultural events regarding my tribe as well as meeting as many others as possible.

I must say that the whole “who are the Lumbee really” controversy provides a fascinating perspective on American history, and the shifting perceptions of race and class and so on, especially in early colonial times, and especially in “frontier” or remote areas.

For those who are unfamiliar with it, there’s a very interesting Wikipedia article.

I have no explanation for the 32 ACT Val who was not admitted, except perhaps that Dartmouth did not pick up on or somehow questioned the fact of his Native American background.
I think Dartmouth would prefer to admit Native Americans from modest backgrounds, but there are just not enough of them in the applicant pool to maintain the size Native American population they want.
To the OP- I would be very surprised if you were not admitted. Keep us posted!

Your SAT score is fine if you’re Native… students with similar scores got in this year…
You ought to apply for the Dartmouth Native Fly-in program if it’s not too late. That might help you make some decisions as to where to apply this fall.
