Well what do you have to offer Amherst other than being a Native American?

I dont mean to be impertinent, I just find it funny to say “chance a native american”. It is a fact that diversity is important, but it does not stop with race, but many factors. Your parents are pretty ok financially. Your classes are ok. Your SAT is ok. Your extracul is ok, too. But to give you a good chance, you need to tell me what have you experienced INDIVIDUALLY that might interest Amherst.

Sorry that I’m interfering in the Amherst chat but as a NESCACer( if you want to call it that). I know that in order for the pull of being a native american you have to match the statistics that other students applying there have. Just because of a certain race they are not going to pull you in. They are looking for much more. The stats that you have now are kind of mediocre for every NESCAC… let alone the best one, Amherst.
