Advice if you want it: I have seen very similar students not accepted as this schedule not considered “the most rigorous you can take”. The big factor is lack of calculus. Any chance you could do okay (well) taking a level of calculus? (I’ve had lack of calculus be quoted to me by adcom ppl.even for nonscience concentrators) Doesn’t mean you won’t get in without it, but it will be a factor.

I’ve heard this as well. Unfortunately, AP Calc on top of everything else in my schedule would be totally disastrous. The best I could possibly foresee myself getting would be a B. The teacher and I don’t get along (he was my Algebra 2H teacher) and so on top of it being a very challenging course, I wouldn’t have chemistry with the teacher.

your EC’s are AMAZING omg!!! but your grades/rigor might be a bit low for brown… I’d guess you have a 50% chance or so… GOOD LUCK

Your academic record isn’t very great (eg low SAT/SAT II/gpa) but your ECs are amazing, so you have a shot. :)

I’d give you a mid range. Your connections to the school will help, as will your ECs, especially your magazine (O.O So cool. Mad props from me. I’m a writer as well, but way too shy to start founding things.) But then, like everyone else has seemed to say, your SATs, course rigor, and GPA are a bit low. Especially coming from such a top school, they’ll expect top rigor and scores out of you. Ordinarily, I’d knock you down to a low range because of your numbers, but your connections and ECs are good enough to bump you back up into playing position. Best of luck! I’m sure you’ll do great.
