Chance a NERVOUS TEXAN FOR RICE University...Early Decision

I am South Asian(Indian). I currently live in Houston, Texas.
^This probably hurts my chances. ^This also hurts my chances........I am not an URM. I applied ED...

****I made one mistake on my application, for the Youth Club activity(see below), I was vague about it, I just said "2005-2009-Youth Club" on my resume....However my role in the Youth Club was much more.......I made presentations telling kids to stay away from drugs, I set up functions for the local/state level.....and etc......A letter of verification, that better explains my role in the Youth Club will be sent in on Nov. 25...........Rice sends out the admissions decisions on dec. 15........Am I too late?......

I want to major in Economics and from there do Pre-law, or Pre-Med(I don't know which one yet)

GPA
Unweighted - 3.8
Weighted - 7.4/8 - (My school only does it on a 8 point scale)

Class Rank-My rank is exactly TOP 20 PERCENT...
......My school is really competitive....Counselor said in her recommendation that at schools in the surrounding areas I would have had a much higher class rank)

^^^^^I have letters of verification/recommendations from all these places, and will send it in with my application.

Please be honest..................

THOUSANDS OF KIDS WITH BETTER EC'S, BETTER CLASS RANKS, BETTER SAT SCORES WILL BE APPLYING..........What are my chances?

bump anyone?................

Keep it in one topic?

You've definitely got a great shot, but if one thing hurts you it will be class rank.

<a href="http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/what-my-chances/602605-chance-small-town-rural-kid-washu-ed-notre-dame.html%5B/url%5D">http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/what-my-chances/602605-chance-small-town-rural-kid-washu-ed-notre-dame.html</a></p>

good chance, but class rank definately hurts

^^^^^^Yah, I know they say that 70 percent of Rice's incoming class is top 5 percent, and 85 percent of its incoming class is top 10 percent.......(Weakest part of my application)

The Sat Score Range is 1330 to 1510....Reading and Math only, its where they place most of their emphasis on..........

yo, i am keeping this on the front page.................anyone?
