Please chance me for ALL the UC's (preferably UCI) and also Cal State Long Beach and Cal State Fullerton

GOOD LUCK GETTING INTO UCLA, UCSD or UCSB. My son goes to school in California and those are a reach for even kids with 3.8 GPA’s. Maybe they need your out of state tuition, though!

ohh okay. i know that the top 3 or 4 UC’s will be reaches for me, but will i be able to make it into the middle ones (UCI, UC Davis, etc) if i get a 1900+ when i retake the reasoning?

You would need to really take the SAT up. Their average GPA at UCI is about 3.9 and average SAT about 1850. Since your GPA is a bit low, the higher you can get your SAT above their median, the better chance you’ll have. UCSB and UCD are about the same.

you’d have a good shot at UCSC by just getting the 1900.

I just visited Berkeley this past weekend and after the tour they had an admissions session… they told us the minimum gpa for any UC school for in state students is 3.0 and for out of state students it’s a 3.4. I’m not sure if that’s weighted or unweighted, so I’d just suggest checking that

No, she means UCSC. UCSD is more selective than Davis and Irvine.

The UCs are much harder to get into than you think, and being OOS makes it even more difficult (if only slightly this year since UCs are desperate for money).
