Hi! :) just wondering my chances for a few schools. I go to a public high school in California and if you leave a link I'll chance back. I'm a girl that's half Asian half white if that matters lol.

SAT: 580 reading, 720 math, 720 writing (2020 total)

GPA: weighted about 3.9, unweighted around 3.75

Taking the ACT this fall.

EC's:
-4 yrs high school volleyball, 2 varsity (hopefully captian sr year)
- volunteer in elementary school resource class about 50 hrs
- school newspaper 2 years, section editor 1 yr.
-other smaller things I don't feel like listing

Chance me for...
UNC Chapel Hill
UCSB
UC Davis
USC
Cal Poly SLO
Penn State

And any other beautiful east coast schools I have a chance of getting into that you know of!!! Thank you so much!

Oh and my projected major is probably math or applied math

Uc for sure if you are in state

You could get into UNC though I’m not sure of your course rigor. Your weighted GPA is not much higher than the Unweighted though I’m not sure how your school calculates it. You have the SAT score to get into UNC even though they are tougher on out-of-state applicants. I can tell you that a white male from my school went to UNC last year with a similar SAT to yours, slightly higher GPA and almost identical ECs. You have a good chance though I’m not sure about the other schools.

UNC Chapel Hill - Match
UCSB - Low match
UC Davis - Match
USC - High match/low reach
Cal Poly SLO - Match
Penn State - Low match

Pretty good! Definitely retake that SAT and make sure your senior year is loaded with some tougher classes. Commit a few more hours to your EC’s–have you tried to get recruited, by the way? Also, apply as white.

Some other schools you could consider:
Wake Forest
Vassar
Auburn

Chance me?
