<p>Current Junior looking to apply to Columbia and NYUAD (I currently live in Abu Dhabi). I know my stats and everything aren't stellar and all... but chance me anyway? Please?</p>

<p>You are certainly in at NYU. Why not apply to a few other colleges??

<p>I think you hear from colleges before you send in AP scores, so that won’t do much for you… A 4.0 UW is solid, and your EXs seem pretty consistent! NYU is a match and pretty definite, and as everyone else said, Columbia is a reach… The process is random for everyone :stuck_out_tongue:

<p>She’s asking about NYUAD not the regular NYU but in any case I think you have a shot there anyway! I recently attended the candidate weekend…it’s an awesome place and I think they’ll take particular note of you being egyptian but living in Abu Dhabi! Good luck!</p>

<p>I don’t think you understand the selectivity of NYUAD. It has a near 1% acceptance rate, and numerous people choose it over the Ivies. </p>

<p>You certainly have a good chance for Columbia! But I don’t actually know about NYUAD. They seem to be looking for something different than other schools, but I’m not quite sure what it is. I got in, but I don’t know how hehehe. Good luck in everything!</p>
