<p>It's the holiday season...so have a kind heart and chance me? Thanks.</p>

<p>Here's the basics:</p>

<p>Female from a competitive public HS in Long Island, NY</p>

<p>GPA: 96.6 W
Class Rank: 18/400ish
SAT: 780 M 760 V 710 W (2250/2400 or 1540/1600)
National Merit Semi-finalist</p>

<p>Most rigorous schedule possible. 10 APs by the time I graduate. Numerous Advanced and Honors level courses.</p>

<p>I dropped Spanish in favor of taking 2 AP histories and 2 sciences in my junior year. So, I won't have 4 years of a language. Hope that doesn't hurt me too much.</p>

<p>Major ECs:
Debate (captain, secretary, won some awards)
President of 2 political clubs
Hospital and food bank volunteering (tons of hours)</p>

<p>Essays are awesome. Everyone says that, but it's true. You can PM me if you would like to read my common app essay.</p>

<p>Recs: One amazing, one pretty good
Guidance Rec: My GC really loves me, but I have doubts that she can write a good rec.</p>

<p>Don’t know much about most of the schools you’re applying to, but I do know about Boston University. You’ll for sure get in! Great stats! I just finished my app for BU as well!</p>

<p>Well, I was rejected from Penn ED, which was my only ivy. I don’t have a shot for HYP, and I have no interest in Dartmouth, Brown, and Cornell. I’m not allowed to go West of the Mississippi, so that rules out the UCs and Stanford. My brother goes to JHU, and I don’t want to be at the same school as him. And I don’t want a Catholic school, so that takes Gtown off my list.</p>

<p>And plus, I like to underestimate myself. :)</p>
