<p>hi guys. i didn't really get responses to my last thread, so i'm posting again...</p>

HS - 3.8UW, 4.1W
SAT: 1230 out of 1600/1880 out of 2400; retaking in October
SAT IIs: Lit - 760; USH - 640
APs: USH - 4
ACT: 30 (high english scores w/ lower math and science); retaking in December

Non-volunteer:
-Drama Club for four years; during junior year was on Board (leadership position)
-Drama Teacher's Association of Southern California for four years (acting for four festivals)
-Musical theatre actor - about ten shows since freshman year
-Comedy Sportz (improv team) for two years (11th-12th)
-Yearbook for two years (9th-10th), copy editor and writer</p>

<p>oh, an addition to my post -- work experience: </p>

<p>Junior year - retail for ~20hrs a week, November to April
Senior year - restaurant for 8hrs a week, September to present</p>

<p>i would say northwestern and carleton are the biggest reaches- NYU is a slight reach but your act is solid enough for NYU</p>

<p>hey just out of curiosity....are you applying to business schools?</p>

<p>Carleton, NYU and Northwestern are your furthest reaches but I'd still give you at least a 60% chance.</p>

<p>UMich is tougher for out-of-staters but as someone else said you're on the upper range of the median so you should be fine.</p>

<p>What are you looking at for majors, by the way?</p>

<p>Santa Cruz and Chapman are not in any way, shape or form matches for you... They are definite Safeties, i have friends with horrid stats who have gotten into both no prob. </p>
