Chance a Northerner for Rice

I appreciate it guys. Thank you .

GPA= 3.7-- It was a 3.63 at the start of Junior Year, so it was a challenge bringing it up, but I did! I'm also expecting a 3.75 by end of senior year.
4.5 Weighted--- Expecting a 4.8 by end of senior year.

Courses:
Freshmen Year: all general courses-- no ap courses are available for freshmen

Honors Advanced Algebra with Trig

I had a B in Adv Alg Trig and in both AP courses for my first semester.. but I brought those up to A's for the second semester.

This summer:
-Taking Honors Pre-Calculus at my school (no one does this either, but it's an accelerated course and it lasts 5 weeks while the year-long course is 40 weeks).

PS --thanks for reading!

I forgot to mention that I'll be applying for finaid, and that i'm planning to major in american studies/ political economy.

Also, should I show lots of interest in the school?

are you applying ED?

nope… just regular

Good ECs, low GPA (did you make straight As junior year?). I would recommend an ACT of 33+ to counterbalance it. Request an interview and impress your interviewer with your love and passion for Rice. Also neither of the majors you listed are available at Rice, so make sure you research what you want.

apply…
