Also, my ACT essay was rather low. However my SAT essay was relatively high. Will colleges acknowledge that I am still a strong writer. The ACT prompt was about using GPS tracking on children. It was not very "writer-friendly" in my perspective. Do colleges focus heavily upon the ACT essay score?

Colleges:
Villanova
Cornell
Penn
George Washington
UNC Chapel Hill
Northeastern
Richmond
Duke
Binghamton
Boston College
UVA
Boston University
Northeastern
UDelaware
UMaryland

By the way, I am a white male from the state of New York. I intend to major in either economics or computer Science. I figured this will come into play for certain out of state schools etc since this information plays a role in admissions.

Villanova: A bit of a reach, since your SAT scores are kind of on the low end.

Cornell: A reach for everyone. Enough said. I have a feeling that Cornell cares a lot about ECs that display interest in chosen major, which you don’t seem to have much of.

Penn: Even higher of a reach than Cornell, I think.

George Washington: Again, CR + M a bit on the low side. It’d be a low reach.

UNC Chapel Hill: Reach.

Northeastern: Reach.

Richmond: Low reach.

Duke: High reach.

Binghamton: Low Match.

Boston College: Reach-ish.

UVA: Reach?

Boston University: Match-ish.

UDelaware: Match, possible safety.

UMaryland: Reach-ish.

Disclaimer: I don’t have the best chancing.

My ACT score on the concordance table is a 1340. Which is greater than my SAT. I may just submit my SAT because of the essay score.

But I will certainly submit my ACT along with my SAT
