<p>I'm an Asian female from New York City; I am a rising senior at a specialized high school and am ranked in the top 7% of my graduating class.</p>

<p>Extracurriculars:
Vice-President/Founder of Photography Club (2 years) - I plan trips and events, manage the members and attendance, and help plan the weekly agenda.
Chorus (4 years) - I am a part of Mixed Chorus, and we perform concerts biannually at our school.
Secretary of National Honor Society (2 years) - I have the biggest job besides the President; I send out e-mails, plan events, and manage the points system for our chapter.
Red Cross (2 years)
President of French Club (1 year) - I plan to coordinate trips to French shows, help other students study and prepare for the AP French exam, and bring a sense of French culture to our school/club.</p>

<p>I am currently interning at a law firm in the Empire State Building. I have been helping attorneys file and write up letters for litigation, and I am learning about the process of a career in law.</p>

<p>Good grades, but you need your sat II’s to be higher in my opinion. Pomona likes to see 700+ on all of them. Write terrific essays and you have a fair chance of admission. Nice to see a nyc applicant. I’m guessing your from stuy/bronx sci, which is a good thing because I know several stuy/ bronx sci kids at Pomona, so they know its a great school to be ranked top 10% in. Good luck</p>

<p>I agree with A91–SATs may be ok (my daughter, specialized NYC hs-- (one that admits through selective examination) got into pomo with a 2280, but her SAT IIs averaged 790 (Math II BC, History and Lit). She’s white, like me, so your demographics are comparable.</p>
