Please let me know what are my chances!! thanks

My opinion: It is pretty hard to get into UT engineering, but I think you are in.

From my understanding, it is difficult for out of state kids to get in period. But considering that most freshman get in on the top 10% rule, most aren’t going for an IB like yourself. You have an impressive record and I see no reason why you wouldn’t be admitted other than the sheer fact that UT might have filled up by that time. Merit wise: I would say you are in.

You should be in. I think you could probably get into Berkeley, UCLA, or USC too.

I think you’ll get in. Your 35 math score will help tremendously for EE. Only issue will be if too many spots are taken up with 10%ers. Your rank is the only detriment.

Good luck!!

wow, thanks for commenting guys.

Seriously though?? I was thinking UT Austin would be super hard to get into…not only am I out of state, but I’m also not in the top 10%…(12.7) =/

you are in…

seriously? what are the decisive factors?

I’m sure you’re in with your test scores.

bump 10char

thanks for responses guys

Read how people who are not “top 10% from a high school in Texas” are chosen.

You look quite good on both AI and PAI, so that is why I think you will be admitted to UT.

I see, thanks for posting that

One thing that really worries me is that my class rank isn’t top 10%, I’m at about 12.5%, and judging from how much UT Austin talks about top 10% students, I can tell they really look for that…
