<p>American is one of my top choices. i really love it here but im worried i won’t get in. They always send me things for their special open houses and visits like showcase AU, etc.</p>

<p>The letters and things they send are meaningless.</p>

<p>That said, you have a shot. Upward trend is nice, as are the leadership positions in your EC’s and a range of good scores on your SAT II’s. SAT won’t get you in but won’t keep you out either. If your high school is pretty competitive and you took a fairly rigorous courseload, I’d say you have a majority chance.</p>
