Anyone have any predictions for my chances at JHU transfer? I'm just doing the regular arts and sciences, not BME.

You’re pretty much in. One thing: I don’t know about JHU’s transfer application process, but I’m guessing that you would need a compelling reason to transfer–something that might be difficult for you to determine considering you go to such a prestigious university to begin with. If you don’t mind my asking, why are you considering transferring from Princeton?

Family reasons. (i.e. sick relatives near Baltimore)

I love Princeton so much though, it’s disheartening.

Sick relatives near Baltimore? Why would you transfer? You’re two hours away by train, maybe 2-1/2 by car. It would be easy to go there once a week if you are disciplined about it. Realistically, how much more often will you see them if you are at Hopkins?

Lol decillion… I agree with the above post…

Are your relatives close to you? Unless that’s the case, I wouldn’t encourage you to change… Visiting Baltimore shouldn’t be much of a problem…

Just some advice bro… I don’t know your family and the ties between you guys… Hope this helps!

Decillion,

I am also considering applying to Princeton. Based on your experiences so far at Princeton, is it as hard to get As as it is rumored to be on cc boards? What is the median grades for classes usually at? What is your opinion of the senior thesis? That may be the biggest reason why I am afraid to apply and matriculate if I do get in. Although I have done very well in all my classes in high school, I do not consider my strength to be writing. I am a math and science person who have developed a love for economics and finance. I would rather take 4 more classes to learn more about finance and economics than to block out those time to write ~100 pages about one topic.

Any feedback is helpful.

If you’re smart and work hard and don’t overstretch yourself, you will most likely get all As and mid/high Bs in classes that aren’t your forte.

I’m not transferring it was just an option. JHU CAS wouldn’t be as worth it as BME.

Oh, this is sad. I’m also Class of 2016 at Princeton. Good luck! I hope it works out the best for you, whatever you reasons.
