I know my application is geared into the sciences, but I really am interested in the LSM program. Is there anyway to strengthen the Wharton side of my application? I have contacts with gentlemen who are executives of some fortune five hundred companies on Wall St, but I'm afraid I'm researching everyday this summer so I won't be able to get any internship/shadowing time.

I plan on applying to CAS as either a bio, chem, or biochem major.

THANKS! Any input would be greatly appreciated :)

Bump bump!?

I think you have a good chance of getting into Penn. You have the same subject scores as I did and your SAT I is very similar. If Penn is your first choice, I highly recommend applying ED. At an info session, the admission rep blatantly told us that there is a significant advantage to applying ED, whereas most schools say there isn’t. As for Valegos, this website should be helpful:
[Submitting an Application - Life Sciences and Management at University of Penn](<a href=“Home | Penn Life Sciences & Management Program”>Home | Penn Life Sciences & Management Program)
I’m not an expert in this program, but it appears that the best thing you can do is emphasize your impact as a leader (i.e. instead of simply saying that you’re Treasurer, describe how you have helped the club succeed). In your Valegos essay, I would talk about why you’re passionate about combining the two disciplines, even if you don’t have much experience in business. Anyway, that’s just my two cents. I applied to engineering, so I suppose it’s a bit different. Good luck!

Yes, I do plan on applying to Penn early decision. I was between Brown PLME, Columbia, and Penn for my early but I think I’ve finally decided on Penn :). I’m just worried that I’ll be “wasting” my early because I live in the Philadelphia suburbs, and it’s pretty well known that my area is at a geographic disadvantage for admissions at Penn. Likewise my school sends anywhere from 2~4 students to Penn per annum and my year is pretty athletic; one of my friends was already offered a full-ride for basketball, which she declined (THANK GOD) and another is in good relations with the track & field coach. But other than that, thank you so much! I actually am good friends with a Vagelos student and he says he loves it. Chances are I won’t get it, but hey, you only apply early once in your life so I might as well apply for it anyways :)

Bumpppppppp?

I’m a rising senior, and I’m thinking of applying! Did you get it?
