Chance a prospective political science major

Hi guys, I’m an international applicant from Pakistan who’s applying to highly selective schools in the States (I’ve applied ED to Cornells Dept of Governent - CAS). Please take a look at my profile and give your take on whether I have a solid chance.
Also pls note that I WILL NOT be asking for financial aid.

SAT 1 (1470 superscored over two attempts)
Reading and writing - 730
Math - 740

Pre March 2016 SAT - 2120
Math - 730
Reading - 700
Writing - 690

SAT 2
US history - 800
Math IIC - 680 (giving again in January, possibly with Chemistry)

O level Grades - 7A* 2A (high school GPA is a 4.0)
A Level Grades (predicted) - A* (world history) A (mathematics) A(Economics) A (Govt and Politics)

Extra Curriculars -

  1. Head Boy at my school (equivalent to being the President of the school’s student council)
  1. President Debates Society (youngest president of the society in schools history) in my junior year. Winner of 12 national MUNs, coach of schools debate and MUN teams.
  2. Have been a member of school soccer team throughout high school (have won regional tournaments as well)

4.Led a project to set up an IT lab and library at two community-run schools in Pakistan’s northern areas (very little state support is given to the region) which cater to the needs of 6000 students

  1. Led a project to establish a water purification plant at a minority settlement in my hometown - the slum was being supplied with impure water, because of which people were contracting hepatitis and other diseases. (Met with city's mayor to discuss this issue)

6.Led a project to preserve and restore ancient Hindu temples in Pakistan that had been left in a horrible state by local authorities. (Met with city’s mayor to discuss this issue)

7.Worked as a volunteer researcher with an NGO working for the rights of victims of forced marriages in Pakistan’s north. Interviewed victims and developed case studies which were later used in advocacy programs.

8.Worked on a project on health issues in Pakistan’s northwestern province in collaboration with the state’s government to learn more about the health issues in the region.

  1. Worked on a project in collaboration with WWF to map a village in Pakistan's north and track changes in the community over an extended period of time.
  2. Contributor at a leading Pakistani English newspaper. Have written blogs on topics such as inequality, intolerance, national/international politics and sport.

Any applicant needs to view their overall chances to MIT to be in the 6-7% range (e.g. the current admit rate). You’ve posted a respectable list of qualifications, but so will many others. Also, international applications are very competitive.

That may be helpful with adcoms at other schools, but MIT’s admissions are need-blind.

Definitely competitive but again international students is an extremely competitive market. Fellow Pakistani here! (ABCD though haha) Definitely apply.

Can I ask where/what city your water purification plant was in?
