Thanks for your kind words. Maybe now if I was just an URM…

Honestly though, it does seem that many of the Questbridge applicants that get matched are minorities. Anyone familiar with the program care to speak about how being a white male might affect my chances?

Shameless bump.

I attended a Stanford admissions function last month, and they claimed that they judge questbridge applicants entirely separately from the rest of the rd pool. Sorry, but that’s all I know. Regardless, you’re easily one of the strongest applicants I’ve seen. QB and being from Oklahoma should help too. You have a truly amazing shot at any of those schools.

Your app is okay, I guess. Not nearly as good as mine.

^^Whatever you do, do not feed the ■■■■■

your app decent. test scores are pretty standard, research is okay. however, your ecs aren’t spectacular and your accomplishments are either local or ones that everyone else has. not sure how prestigious

is, but i haven’t heard of it. and, as i’m sure you know, being a questbridge finalist is not an achievement that will get you into questbridge.

questbridge is quite competitive, so you probably have the same shot as everyone else.

that being said, you’re white, and thus even if you’re not URM you’re in the high upper range so even if you don’t get questbridge you’ll get into somewhere you really want to go.

I agree that EC’s could be better… I have moved around my whole life, and now live at a residential boarding school, so its been tough to get involved. As far as the honors go, this week I was notified that I was the Male AP Siemens Award Winner from Oklahoma, so maybe that will help in the RD round.

Ballroom dancing? That’s snazzy. ^^
