UMD - College Park (Scholarship?)

Notre Damce
MIT
GaTech (Scholarship?)
Johns Hopkins

Thanks, and I'll chance back, give me the link.

Hey, it’s the guy from the “chance me long and chance me hard” thread. Just to let you know I would chance you, but unfortunately I have no idea what those universities require (international student - haven’t even heard of a couple of your choices), except to say that MIT routinely turns down 2400s just because it can. I just didn’t want you to think I was being rude by ignoring you when you did me the favour of giving me your opinion.

Good luck applying!

No problem, man.

Bump10Char.

UMD - College Park (Scholarship?) - match, I’m not too sure about a scholarship though
Vanderbilt - low reach/ high match
Notre Dame - low reach/high match
MIT - astral reach
GaTech (Scholarship?) - match
Johns Hopkins - low reach

Return the favor? http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/what-my-chances/801251-chance-anglo-saxon-hero-ivies-tier-1-schools.html</a></p>

This is what I think
UMD - College Park - in probably with a good amount of money.
Vanderbilt - high match
Notre Dame - probably a high match (Notre dame is hard to tell since it is like 1/4 legacy, 1/4 athletes, and 1/4 URM)
MIT - reach (sorry, but you have a very low chance)
GaTech - low match, but probably no money. State schools are really bad at giving oos people money.
Johns Hopkins - low reach

Look at more schools ranked in the 15-40 range. You could probably get a lot of money from some of those places.

http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/what-my-chances/798778-chance-first-timer-ill-chance-you-back.html</a></p>

MIT is actually in your range I think with that GPA and if you get a higher SAT score you will probably have a pretty good shot.

UMD - College Park (Scholarship?) match with money
Vanderbilt - definite match
Notre Dame - definite match
MIT - this, this institution which refuses to open it’s doors to normal human beings, the bane of my existence, is still a very slight reach. if you could get around a 2300 on your SAT you should be on your way.
GaTech (Scholarship?) definite match, unsure about the money.
Johns Hopkins - match

these are the best stats i’ve seen in a while…just work on your sat and you should be able to get in anywhere…no joke.

Ga Tech has presidential scholarship which is full rider scholarship. But it is difficult to tell whether you can get or not since it based on many factors beside grade.

Thanks, jim, dannav, and skas. ;)

MIT never does something “just because it can.” Obviously it decided that those 2400ers weren’t a good fit for MIT, regardless of their test scores.

Bump again.

I’m gonna ressurrect this, I’ll chance back.

I think MIT is not that impossible. If you raise your SAT I score and add some great essays showing your interest in science, you may have a chance.

Chance back? [Chance me please](http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/what-my-chances/808359-please-chance-me.html)
