I'm white (jewish).

I am applying to:
University of Michigan (double legacy, both parents graduate)
University of Pennsylvania (double legacy, both parents undergrad) (maybe ED)
Northwestern ED
University of Chicago
Stanford
Brown
Duke
MSU (safety)
MIT

chance me?! thanks!

In it all of them except stanford, duke, and u of chicago. Those are like 65% in

One question: How do you know you are a National Merit Finalist if you’re still a junior?
Also, you make at lot of assumptions and predictions. I’m going to plan for the idea that you won’t get any of these presumed, futuristic positions. This is not because I don’t think that you’ll get them, but because this way you can see where you are as it stands.

University of Michigan - High safety (In-state + legacy makes it a no-brainer. You’ll get in)

University of Pennsylvania - Reach, despite legacies. I would probably apply to NW ED just because you don’t really have some of the national-level honors that are basically required.

Northwestern - High match (mid match if ED). Apply ED, not worth risking Penn.

University of Chicago - Low reach.
Stanford - High reach
Brown - Low reach
Duke - Low reach
MSU - Highest scholarship possible is quite likely.
MIT - High reach.

If I come off as harsh, sorry for being that way. I think that I judge others too strictly, but hopefully this gives you some guidelines.

CHANCE BACK: [Where to apply/Chance for Columbia ED - College Confidential](http://www.■■■■■■/ChanceMe)

^^i disagree. If penn is your #1 ED to penn. you have Michigan as a very nice looking safety, and to be honest as a university as a whole I would choose Michigan over NW (I like sports an having fun). People underestimate legacies

I failed to see that you like NW the best. My apologies. If you would rather go to NW than penn and you have no financial restraints (penn gives more FA) I would say go Ed to NW
