Chance a rising Florida senior? :)

I would love some opinions as to what my chances are of getting into University of Florida, University of South Florida, University of Central Florida, and Florida Gulf Coast University. :)

I'm not sure if it makes much of a difference as to where I live in Florida, but I live in a small town that is kind of connected to the Fort Myers area.

I just received my report card a few days ago, so these are my current stats. They will, no doubt, be higher by the end of my senior year:
Unweighted GPA: 3.2
Weighted GPA: 4.32
(All A's and B's throughout my entire junior year, except in my two math classes which were College Algebra and Liberal Arts Mathematics II, both of which were Dual Enrollment classes and I got C's in both. Mathematics is absolutely not my strong point...)

I have taken Honors, Advanced Placement, and Dual Enrollment classes ALL throughout high school, so my transcript is most definitely a rigorous one. I am also in the top 10% of my high school graduating class. :)

I took the ACT twice, and will be taking it again on September 10, but I'll give you my highest score:
Composite: 27
English: 34
Reading: 31
Math: 25
Science: 21
Essay: 31
(Although I'm taking the ACT again in September, it is only so I can attempt to get a 28 or better for the 100% Florida Bright Futures scholarship, so the colleges will be seeing this ACT score... Is it good enough?)

As for extra-curriculars and such, I am involved in the National Honor Society (10th, 11th, and now 12th grade) and heavily involved in Yearbook (11th and now 12th grade, and I will be Editor). I also have 100+ volunteer hours. I would have more, but on top of those few things, I've also held a part-time job for the past three summers, and for an entire year from 2010-2011, and will continue working there until I graduate high school and leave for college. When I am not at work, I am at school or sleeping. I have been a "Dual Enrollment" student since my freshman year of high school and will be graduating high school with my Associate of Arts degree, as well as my high school diploma. (Taking college classes all thoughout high school has definitely taken up A LOT of my life and time, but I don't regret it at all.) If it matters, I am also applying for the Honors College at the college that I attend for my Dual Enrollment classes, because I was urged to by some professors there, as well as the president of the college.

This is where I would probably be listing my senior year course-load, but I don't exactly have one, per se. I have fulfilled all of my high school requirements already, so I won't be attending my high school for my senior year. I'm going to work and go to the college to finish up my AA degree. Soooo, I will list the classes I am currently taking and will be taking up until the end of my senior year. Also, I have already toured each of these colleges and asked if it would hurt my chances if I spent my senior year in college instead, and they all said to the contrary, that it would be very impressive. :)

Intended Major: English
With a minor in Adult Education (as in college).
(I want to ultimately earn my PhD and become an English professor.)

Sooo, need any more information? If so, let me know! I just really am nervous and will be applying for these schools on August 1st.... Let me know what you think!

I’m not going to chance you, but encourage you to do some practice tests for the ACT. Your science and math scores are pulling you down and practice on those sections will help you. Good luck hitting that 28!

Thanks! I have been studying extremely hard! I bought an ACT practice book with multiple practice tests in them and am going to be studying a lot until September 10th!

:) Bump. Bump. Bump. :)

As another poster has stated, I would try to retake the September ACT, try to pull the composite score to at least 28 and strive for a 29 ! Additionally, based on your stats, avoid FGCU and strive for UCF.
One last point-
P L E A S E explain to me how your base GPA is 3.2 and your weighed GPA is
4.32 ???
Good Luck !
PS, also give the SAT a shot !
