I have taken the test again and believe i did much better. I will also be taking SAT IIs and another SAT test October and November. Junior Year was hard for me as one of my teachers from sophmore year and our president died suddenly 2 days apart. I have very good writing skills from what i can tell based on my writing in school and will have great essays. I will also have very strong recomendation letters from my AP history teacher and my Guidance Counselor. Please be optomistic when chancing. Oh and i took tours today at BC, BU, and tomorrow is Providence. They seemed great and it seemed as though i have a chance. Thanks guys!
P.S. Any questions just ask.

I think you mean “rising senior”.

Yes your right im sorry. I am a rising Senior not a rising Junior. Sorry for the inconveience.

stop chancing if you are a junior

it is so obnoxious

I am indeed a rising Senior not a rising Junior, sorry.

Rising junior means you’re going to be a junior next school year. And likewise, rising senior means you’re going to be a senior next school year.

But I’d say:
Boston University - good chance w/ better SAT’s
Penn State - in w/ better SAT’s
Northeastern - a match if you bring up your SAT’s
NYU - reach (bring you GPA up just a little, and you have to raise you SAT quite a bit)

…pretty much, you just need to bring up your SAT’s. try the ACT, you might do better on that; I did.
But keep in mind i’m only a rising senior too. Hopefully I’m not being too obnoxious for freightrain…

Could you get recruited for ice hockey?

I do not want to be nor could i be recruited for Any of the Schools ice hockey teams. I may be interested in playing club hockey there though. The 14 years just show commitment i guess. Any other thoughts. What about the rest of the colleges. Thanks for the responses so far.

bring up your SATs my man

Im hoping they were brought up from my last test. Anyway, any other chances with the stats i have given. Am i a match, reach, ??

Math: from a 480 to a 550.
CR: from a 600 to a 650
Writing: from a 630 to a 670

1710 to an 1870. Chances with these new scores?

All your academic stats are so similar to mines! I have to take religion/theology every year too, which takes up an elective.

But sorry to say again you have to work on the SAT’s some more because I don’t think your change in score is significant enough to make a difference in your chances for the 4 I did. You should focus on raising your Math especially since most schools only look at Math and CR. And I kinda need to take my own advice because you didn’t better than me; I got a 1840 on my first and only try (Math: 590–I’m good at math so this is disappointing, CR: 600–slow reader, Writing: 650–usually do much better on practice test).

Yea i know my math grade is horrible, but i dont want to do anything having to do with math in college. I like History, Psychology, and that stuff. Anyway, are there any more chances with more direct answers to the list i have given. Thanks!

*did

No prob. I’ve got good news though, you’re right in BU’s middle 50% SAT range which is 1850–2080. And your GPA is an A- I think, so you’re probably going to get in there.
