Chance a rising junior!

Your welcome, golfer111! Yes, if you’re interested in medicine, an internship with a doctor, especially one in your expected field of study, is a great boost and shows solid dedication. I also think that your interest in HOSA club is important as well! Hope that this helps! :)

sat score?
needs to be way over your psat score
if you keep getting a’s in ap classes and get at least 2200 on the SAT, you’re good

Thanks again big dreamer!

Lemonio, I didn’t really study or prep at all for the PSAT, so I wasn’t really surprised with how low my scores were. I am actually taking SAT classes this summer with a really good coach, so I should be in the 2100-2200 range. Thanks!

I think that so far you have a really good chance (strong grades, strong classes, strong ECs)… just keep up ur SAT and ACT and yeah  good luck!

pre-med is a hard major for schools like harvard, but if u take SAT II bio and chem and do really well, that looks good

chance me back please:

Thanks desigrlz4britbyz!
I chanced back btw

I dont know if I am going to take the Chem SAT II, as I am not taking the AP class until senior year
I’ll definitely take Math II, Bio M, and U.S. History
I may also take Spanish, depending on how I do in Honors Spanish 4 next year

bumppppppppppp
I will chance back!

Try to stick to what you’re doing, your ECs are solid. It’s hard to say now because you haven’t actually taken those tests, those are your projected scores.

Your SAT will probably need to be higher than 2100 to get into some of these schools (HYPS) but that’s something you can change. Your grades are good. For the SAT IIs, you need one in the humanities (history or english or languages or something). It’s hard to give a definite chance right now, I can’t say (you’ll get into Harvard) but anyway work on standardized tests right now, that’s definitely your main focus.

Thanks Phoenix27!

I am going to take the U.S. History SAT II, if not the Spanish SAT II
My SAT coach has tutored 3 kids that have gotten perfect 2400s before, and a lot of my friends are pulling off 2100-2250
So I feel pretty good about scoring something in that range.

Just looking at this quickly, to even have a chance at some of the schools you listed; you need outstanding SAT scores, a 2100 won’t cut it, unless everything else is golden.

SAT- 2200+
Subjects- 3 with 750+ (800’s if you can)

The Legend- I said 2100 to stay on the safe side so I won’t sound too ambitious. I am aiming for a 2500+, and I am studying pretty hard right now, so I may be able to pull that off, it will be a struggle though.
Thanks!

bumppppppppp

you got great stats all around, but just make sure you do as well on those SATs as you think. 2200+ would help a lot, but its hard to imagine you wont get in at at least one ivy or duke, if not more

Thanks gmac32092!
Hope everything goes well with your essay :)

bumppp please

I don’t think Honors count for weights. Only APs. Do you really have 8 hours in the day?

SchsKid1- In our school system, an A is weighted like this:
4.0-regular class
5.0-honors class
6.0-AP class
For a B, you just subract 1.0 point from the respected class (3.0 regular, 4.0 honors, 5.0 AP)
And so on
Lol, I do have 8 hours in a day
I just study pretty hard
Thanks!

bumpppppppppp

WORK REALLY HARD WITH YOUR SAT TUTOR!

i got a 207 sophomore year and am still worried about breaking a 2200

haha yeah I’m planning on pushing her really hard
I really want to break 2200
If you got a 207 sophomore year, you should be in pretty good shape
Thanks!
